Someone else's Netflix review of "Willow Creek" (2014)
I was very excited to see this film because I like bigfoot movies and Bobcat Goldthwait. Then I watched it. What a huge pile of garbage. The film starts slowly and nothing happens. This is followed by nothing happening and we slowly transcend into nothing happening. When nothing else happens you’re about half way through the movie. This is the point in the film where nothing really starts to happen. The things that don’t happen begin to not happen even slower! Finally the things that don’t happen quit, and the movie stops and I think to myself, what the hell just happened?!?! Nothing, nothing happened.
As I was driving to work this morning, I saw a billboard for Lauri Metcalf’s new comedy, The McCarthys. Even though I have a pile of newer TV on DVD to watch, it made me want to go back and revisit all nine seasons of Roseanne. I’ve noticed that I’m happier sticking with dependable classics instead of always trying new things. Hmm.
I really am speechless.
Some of my favorites: Scooby Doo: Where Are You?, Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, Superfriends, The Smurfs, The Snorks, Galaxy High, Laff-a-Lympics, Saturday Supercade and (live action) Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.
